Chocolate & Vanilla Cupcakes | 1 easy recipe 2 flavors | Chocolate Ganache | Uppalapatis Kitchen

Checkout our Chocolate and Vanilla cupcakes with Chocolate Ganache frosting using a single cupcake batter recipe which is super easy and fast to bake.

Yields 6 cupcakes
1 egg
¼ cup unsalted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
⅓ cup sugar
½ cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
2 tbsp milk

For chocolate cupcake batter:
2 tsp cocoa powder

For chocolate ganache:
½ cup chocolate chips
⅓ cup heavy cream

For white chocolate ganache:
½ cup white chocolate chips
⅓ cup heavy cream

For topping (optional):
Chopped walnuts
Cocoa nibs

* Whisk the egg, melted butter and vanilla extract
* Sift the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and fold until combined
* Add milk and fold. Divide the batter evenly
* Prepare the cupcake liners in a cupcake tray
* Pour a tbsp each of vanilla cupcake batter into the cupcake liners
* For the chocolate cupcakes, add cocoa powder to the batter and mix well until combined
* Pour the chocolate cupcake batter into the cupcake liners
* Bake in a preheated oven at 350F/180C for 20 minutes until the cupcakes are springy to touch. Let the cupcakes cool completely
* For chocolate ganache, bring the heavy cream to a simmer and pour it over the chocolate chips
* Let it sit for a minute or two and whisk until smooth and glossy
* Repeat the same process for preparing the white chocolate ganache
* Spread a generous amount of ganache onto the cupcakes and top with your favorite toppings/sprinkles
